THE IFERA 2008 CONFERENCE THEME: 'The Entrepreneuring Family'

The IFERA 2008 theme, 'The Entrepreneuring Family', targets the intersection of entrepreneurship and family business research. Family business scholarship aims, in part, to understand factors of family business growth, survival, and longevity. At the intersection of these goals lie many interesting research questions to pursue. A few of these are: Please note that the above questions are only illustrative. Submissions are encouraged on all issues related to family business and subscribing to a wide variety of research paradigms.

SUBMISSIONS
The three different formats of submissions are available:
  1. Completed Research (for which full papers are required)
  2. Work-in-Progress (abstracts only), and
  3. Doctoral Consortium.

Moreover, we encourage young researchers to take part in the IFERA Best PhD Research Proposal Competition. For more information please see the link provided above.

Each full paper will undergo a double-blind review. Please note that only Completed Research papers will be considered for the Small Business Economics Journal special issue and for the best paper awards (with the exception of the Doctoral Consortium award). However, in keeping with the spirit of past IFERA conferences as a stimulant for new research, researchers who would like feedback on work-in-progress are also encouraged to submit abstracts, if they prefer. Submission requirements are available here.
For more information see the links provided above.

Note that only full papers will be considered for submission. Criteria for inclusion will include overall quality, relevance to the conference theme and contribution to overall theory in management and entrepreneurship. (Revised versions will be due August 15, 2008).
